As I write this, I and sure that, you like me, would love peace on earth. When we look around we see chaos and pain, and it is an encouragement to know that Peace on Earth is not a dream, but will one day be a reality.
This suite is in our new Christmas Catalogue. I was privileged to be able to order this several weeks ago so that I could take part in a Creative Stampin’ Up© day, when we could create some beautiful cards etc with this set.
I decided to showcase it in my blog to show you some ideas that you might be able to use as a springboard for your creations. Not only can you use this at Christmas, you can also use it as an encouragement set for a friend.
My first card uses the beautiful DSP and speciality paper (glitter) on a base of Cloudy Cover. The dies are so nice – especially the doves. There are also some tag shaped dies. I combined these with the embossing folder to create this simple card. I also added the beautiful ribbon under the tag.
My next card uses the DSP, glitter paper and the two doves along with the sentiment ‘ Peace. love and joy’. I embossed part of the base of the card with one of the Glass and Garden embossing folders. The sentiment is embossed in white on Secret Sea.
The third card does not use any DSP – just Basic White, Night of Navy and Cloud Cover along with the dove cut outs and the beautiful Hues of Blue embellishments. The cloud cover is embossed with the embossing folder and I added a few dots of Wink of Stella. I combined two sentiments on the one block to create a longer sentiment.
My final card is in Cloud Cover and uses the DSP, glitter paper to make a large tag, on which I placed another tag in Cloud Cover with the sentiment. Again the dove is used, as are the Hues of Blue embellishments.
The DSP lends itself so well to the two new In Colours for this year – Secret Sea and Cloud Cover. The suite is now available in the Mini Catalogue.
