Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #12

This month the Blog challenge was to use the colours Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy as the main card colours. We could use Whisper White or Basic Black as well.

I ended up making three very different cards! Most of my inspiration comes early in the morning when I waken up. It is as if I have been dreaming about what to make!!!!

Card #1 is a gatefold card. It is all done with #simplestamping. The base of the card is Night of Navy cardstock and I have stamped the two side panels with the smaller flower from the Floral Essence Stamp set in Lovely Lipstick with Night of Navy centres and Granny Apple Green leaves on Whisper White.

The front centre panel has the larger flower stamped in Night of Navy and this time I used Lovely Lipstick for the centre. I added some Shimmery Crystal effects on the centre and Ice Stampin’ Glitter for dimension. The flower petals are highlighted in Clear Wink of Stella and have drawn some of the Night of Navy into the petal. The sentiment is in Lovely Lipstick and I added three diamantés.

Card #2 uses the ‘Free as a Bird’ stamp set which I stamped in Black Momento. I then watercoloured the birds and branch with Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green. The background is very lightly sponged with Night of Navy and it is cut out using the Stitched Nested dies. I used a larger die to cut the Lovely Lipstick cardstock to layer the picture. This is then placed on Night of Navy cardstock base with a strip of Whisper White behind it.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark on Granny Apple Green and embossed with white. It was cut out using the label punch and mounted on a little piece of Whisper White to tie it into the overall card.

Card #3 uses #simplestamping and the ‘Beautiful Friendship’ stamp set. I stamped the hydrangea in Lovely Lipstick and the leaves in Granny Apple Green on Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is in Night of Navy and it is layered on Night of Navy with the base of Granny Apple Green. Again some diamantés were used to add dimension to it.

Beautiful Friendship

I really hope you like my cards. They were so much fun to make and have inspired me to do more in these colours!!
