It’s been ages since I posted a blog about my cards (Christmas I think was the last!) Today I will remedy that!!
Today, I did a podcast on the ‘Lovely Arrangements’ Suite. This suite is in muted colours – Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Cloud Cover and Secret Sea. This does not exclude other colours as you will see!!
My first card was inspired by Daisychain Fun. This is actually a favourite fold of mine and one you can add to in different ways. This is an Accordion Fold and for this card I made it into a double reverse Accordion Fold.
The base is Cloud Cover with a layer of Basic White on which I put pieces of the Lovely Florals DSP. I then cut a piece 4 x 21cms to make the reverse piece (it is folded the same way but the longer piece goes to the left of the card. It still fits in an A6 envelope. I added some flowers that I stamped in Cloud cover on Basic White and added some ink from the Secret Sea inkpad to the centre with a fine brush. These were diecut and used on the front flap along with Old Olive diecut leaves. The sentiment is also from the stamp set and is tucked in under the front flap.

The second card is my own creation. Do you get your best inspiration during the night? I often do!! I just wanted to use shades of green and white. The base and 2nd layer are Basic White. I made the top layer about 8cm wide and used the scorer to add some lines on the right and then added a little bit of Old Olive as a background with a blending brush. This was placed on a piece of Old Olive DSP, but, before I put it on, I used the die with the circle pattern to cut the rectangle out in Mossy Meadow. I cut it into a single strip and adhered them together. (There are only 6 circles in the row but you can easily add a few extra without any trouble to make it longer.) This was glued in behind the white layer to create a border. I then added some Mossy Meadow flowers stamp/embossed with white using dimensionals. I tucked some Old Olive diecut leaves under the edges of the flowers using glue dots to adhere the leaves in place.
The little diamond shapes that fall out from the circle diecut were used as embellishments with an added little Wink of Stella.

The third card was inspired by Loritamarie. She used Petal Pink in hers. I wanted something that completely changed the colour scheme so I chose a Basic White base and add some Fresh Freesia ink leaves (stamped off) to it.
I then added a piece of torn, two-tone cardstock for the layer on top of it and also diecut a rectangle using the other rectangular die that is in the set. I then contrasted these two colours against each other on the card. The flowers were stamped on Basic White with Basic Grey (stamped off) and I used Fresh Freesia Blends to colour them in and Darling Duckling for the centre of the flowers. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and one triple leaf was added to the card along with the sentiment stamped in Basic Gray.
I love the affect the brighter colours give and am interested to try other bright colours too. The two-tone cardstock adds a beautiful extra to the card!

So that was Lovely Arrangements for this week. I really hope you enjoyed reading this and there is a Youtube recording you can also watch.
