I don’t know about you, but when I saw that Stampin’ Up! were bringing out an advent calendar, I knew it was on my list – an Advent calendar that didn’t put on weight!! Inside are all sorts of goodies that I haven’t explored yet. Not only do you get the calendar but you also got a double stamp set to use for all occasions.
However! – Since it is six weeks until Christmas, I have begun to use it. This week I opened Day 1. My reasoning? Once Christmas is over and the rush of getting ready for the day, I may not get time to use it to its full potential. Coming up to Christmas, we will discover lots of folks getting it out, but I wanted to give you some ideas.
I opened the first two a few days ago, and then mulled over how I could use the items. I didn’t want to open all the doors at once, because my challenge for Day 1 was to use the gift from Day 1 along with the stamps.
DAY 1: Some beautiful little dies! Just put them back into their packaging after you open them and explore them!!
I went away from the Christmas theme, to create some thank you cards with stamping and the dies. Here is what I came up with!! I made my own DSP using Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry on Basic White cardstock.
I also kept singing ‘Sing a rainbow’ in my head and I had another idea for using cardstock to use another die!! Still more to explore down the road!!!
I hope I inspire to use Day 1 creatively! I loved the challenge.
