Baby Shower Card

Today is Easter Monday here, so an opportunity to do a little card making. I am going to a baby shower in a couple of weeks and needed a card. I had watched a tutorial over the weekend on Twist and Pop cards and how to make them. It was posted by Srushti Patil, so I decided to have a go.

We don’t know if the baby is a boy or a girl so I was avoiding pink and blue! I decided to use Crushed Curry  and Whisper White Cardstock for the main card and the Birthday Memories DSP and the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies for the front and inside (2017- 2018 Catalogue). Some of the Birthday Memories characters were fussy cut.

I used Party Animal DSP from an earlier Occasions Catalogue and the Party Animal Washi Tape. I used Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz for the background. To get a shadow effect, I just used a cotton ball with a little ink on it and lightly touch it on the Whisper White card. I used Basic Black Ink for the sentiments which are from Special Celebrations.

To add highlights to the front of the card, I used a little glitter glue. I am excited about how easy it was to make. I am now going to make one for my granddaughter’s birthday using  the Myths and Magic Suite.
