Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #8

This month we were given the challenge of making a card based on a sketch.

I decided to use the ‘It’s starts with Art’ bundle for this. The colours were a little outside my comfort zone, but there is nothing like stretching yourself!!! I used Calypso Coral  as the base and added some of the Follow your Art DSP as the first layer. I used Wink of Stella to highlight all the pens on the DSP. The next layer was Coastal Cabana and I used the reverse side of the DSP on top. I also used Wink of Stella to add some sparkle. There was a reason for this as I wanted to use the sentiment from the set ‘You make everything sparkle’. I stamped it in Versamark and embossed in silver and placed it on the Coastal Cabana strip. The pen was cut out using the die set from the bundle and coloured in with Coastal Cabana. I added some twine from the Embellishment kit and added one of the cute heart charms to it (they say ‘made with love’). It was finished off with some of the felt stars and hearts which picked up the theme of the DSP. Sometimes it is interesting to see how a card evolves as you start making it and the path you thought you would take, changes as you go through the process!!.
