Quiet Meadow

I have been having a play with some of the new sets from the new Annual Catalogue. This is now available to order from.

At a recent Stamp Camp I played with Quiet Meadow. I bought the bundle which includes the stamp set and the dies. I had an idea to make some silhouette cards with this set as well as just using the stamp set and doing some colouring.

The first card I created used the flowers from the set. They were stamped in Momento Black and coloured in using Balmy Blue and Old Olive ink pads and my watercolour pens. I also used the script in the background. The blending brushes added some colour to basic white cardstock by using them with the above ink pads. It was mounted on some gold foil and Misty Moonlight cardstock and then on Basic White thick cardstock.

The next set of cards I made with the dies. I cut several of the flower stems out in Basic black and placed these on a piece of Basic White cardstock which I had embossed with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder. On one card I cut a circular window with the circular dies in the embossed piece and used blending brushes to create a sunset effect behind it. I then place one of the die cuts on top of this and placed the window in front of that raised with foam adhesive strips to give a 3 -D effect. I then added some more die cuts on the top and used one of the sentiments to finish off the card.

The other card just used the die cuts on the textures embossed cardstock to create a scene. I love all these cards so much that I can see me using this set again and again.
