Impressions Abloom

After I get my head around the title, (as I keep calling it the wrong thing!!!) this week, I used Impressions Abloom to create some cards and also introduce you to all the new Incolours for 2025-2027. I used the Incolours for the base of my cards and made one in each colour using the Floral Impressions DSP.

For my first card I added my final one to this collection of cards. I used Cloud Cover and Secret Sea as well as Garden Green and the DSP. This is a simple Special Fold card. the base is the normal size 14.9 x 21cm scored in half and the front scored in half as well. I used Versamark and white embossing powder for the flowers and Garden Green for the leaves. The sentiments are stamped in Secret Sea.

My second card today uses the Online Embossing folder called Mini Corrugated. This is a 3D embossing folder. When using this embossing folder, be carefully not to crush the corrugations!! It was placed behind the die cut oval window and then I added stamped flowers and leaves to the front with Glue Dots and Dimensionals. Wink of Stella was used on the flowers to highlight them. I then added the sentiment from Delightful Flowers and some Strawberry Slush gems to the front.

My final card used Balmy Blue as the base. I added some Basic White that had been embossed with Exposed Brick. This was highlighted with Pecan Pie using a blending brush. I diecut lots of white flowers and used the sponge daubers to highlight them with colour – in this case Darling Duckling, Azure Afternoon and a little Soft Sea Foam and Pecan Pie inks. I added some Basic gems to some the mini flowers and also the card base. Everything was placed using dimensionals or glue dots.

I had fun creating these cards. They evolved as I worked on them and I enjoyed using the different colours.

If you haven’t bought the new Incolours yet, I suggest you should as they are so lovely and versatile. I often use Secret Sea instead of Night of Navy now, but if you don’t have them you could substitute what you have in your stash. Keep experimenting! I am adding another card here that I made as I used this set.

Finally, here’s my YouTube video on this set of cards.
