Animal Antics

Sickness and busyness of life has meant that I haven’t been blogging or crafting as much as I would like.

Today I have been able to sit down and make some cards from the ideas that have been floating around in my head for a few weeks! That has been a wonderful relaxing experience.

I needed a card to go with the quilt I made  and finally today I was able to create that. I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up Stamp set “Animal Outing” with the kangaroo and koala. I stamped it in Early Espresso and then used Copic markers to colour it in. I  used Very Vanilla for the base of the card and then used Crumb Cake card for the front of the card — embossing it with the Stampin’ Up Petal Burst embossing folder. I then cut out a scalloped circle in Very Vanilla and lightly sponged it with Crumb Cake ink.

I cut out some leaves with the Foliage Frame framelits in some green from my scrap stash and used some linen thread behind the scalloped circle and using dimensions placed the circle and the sentiments on the card.

Inside I stamped a giraffe and the frog on the branch, coloured them in and lightly sponged the inside of the card.

I liked the outcome. It was CASED from a card I found on Pinterest. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to discover who originally made it!
