I have completed a series of three cards with the Sand and Sea Suite. These were incredibly simple!!! They use the Sand and Sea DSP and the Seashells embossing folder and Seaside Shells large die, some ribbon and some embellishments!!
The Seaside Spray one uses White Crinkle Seam binding, the Blushing Bride one uses the same but this time I coloured the ribbon to match the card. The final one uses Sahara Sand and Braided Linen Trim. The embellishments are Pastel pearls and Opal rounds.
I die cut the front of the card and then placed it in the Embossing Folder. I found that the pattern remains raised if you do it this way – giving a 3D effect. I matched the colour with the appropriate DSP and then placed the three layers together. For the pink one I cut out the Seaside Shells in Basic White and then sponged it with Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Melon Mambo inks and added some sparkle to it.
For this, I have used a drop or two of Frost White Shimmer Paint which I diluted in Rubbing Alcohol and spritzed on to the paper. I did the same on the Sahara Sand die piece.
