Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #28

We had a colour challenge this month and when I looked at the beautiful colours – Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry, I was excited and thought it would be easy to come up with something I loved! …. Well that was earlier!!!

The first card I tried used Butterfly Bouquet. I think the idea is good but I feel it is not my style!! I am more into pastel colours and the black is a little stark for me so back to the drawing board!

My daughter visited me and I was telling her my dilemma! She went into my craft room and came out with this beautiful card inspired by Linda Dalke. She also used the Butterfly bouquet. I tried something similar but mine didn’t turn out as well! I love the way hers has the water splatters on it and they are quite defined.

Now for take 3!!! I decided to use the Birds of a feather stamp set and I clear embossed the birds in Memento Black and did some colouring using the three colours. I cut it out using the Stitched so Sweetly dies and placed it on Pear Pizzazz and Basic White. These layers were embossed using the Painted Texture Embossing folder. I also used the Scripty folder for the other white layer and placed the card on Pear Pizzazz. I added some Opal rounds that I coloured with Pear Pizzazz.

All sentiments are from Many Messages. Anyway instead of one card we ended up with a few!! I wanted to show the process it took for me to get here in this blog!!!
