Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #37

For our December challenge we had a three colour challenge using the colours Gray Granite, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink. I actually love this combination and was keen to try out some ideas. Time passed quickly but I did get time to do this beautiful card. I have a friend from church who is moving interstate in a few weeks and she doesn’t realise how much she will be missed by us all. Next week we are having a special presentation for their whole family. This card is perfect to give to her.

I stamped the flower from Blessings of Home in Gray Granite on Basic White cardstock. This set is in the January- June catalogue and will be available in the New Year. It lends itself to watercoloring. I coloured in the flowers with Petal Pink blends and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam blends. The centre of the flowers are coloured with Light Soft Sea Foam and Wink of Stella. I water painted lightly around the flowers with Gray Granite. The card is placed on a layer of Gray Granite cardstock and a second layer of Petal Pink.

This is all wrapped with some Gray Granite Baker’s Twine and the sentiment is stamped with Gray Granite and cut out. The sentiment is from the same set and I divided it in half to add to the card. I added some Metallic Brushed Gems on the front of the card and highlighted it all with Wink of Stella.

The front layers are raised up from the Soft Sea Foam base with dimensionals. Inside the card I placed a piece of Basic White. This was embossed with the Stitched Whimsy Dies and I added a sentiment from the Color and Contour Stamp set.

I hope you like this card and are keen to try out the ideas for yourself.
