Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #38

This month we are very relaxed in our blog hop as it is summer here in Australia! Our theme is ‘Anything goes’!

I decided to make my own DSP using the stamp sets Flowing Flowers and Ranunculus Romance. I actually didn’t notice these stamp sets in the new Mini catalogue the first few times I had gone through it. I was looking on Pinterest at what some people had done with the new stamp sets – often my springboard for inspiration! I noticed that Gail Ellis had used these sets and I liked what she had done, so I began to experiment!!

I used half a piece of Basic White cardstock and added the colours Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Evening Evergreen to stamp randomly on it. On some of the stamps I stamped directly with the ink and, on others, I used daubers to add the different colours to the stamp.

When I was happy with the results, I decided to cut up my DSP and use it on cards.

Both cards have a base of Evening Evergreen and a layer of Basic white embossed with the Tasteful Textile folder. The DSP is placed on a layer of Evening Evergreen. I also used one of the Basic Borders Die on one and used some white crinkled seam binding.

When the base of the card was made I added some die cut flowers and foliage from Ranunculus Romance on the landscape design. The other one was just left as is using the created DSP to highlight it.

Embellishments are Brushed Brass Butterflies and the 21-22 In colour jewels.
