Stamper’s Anonymous Blog Hop #60

A layout challenge was our project this month. I had bought the DSP ‘One Horse Open Sleigh’ from the Online Exclusive, but had not used it. When I saw our challenge for this month I immediately thought of this paper and with Christmas coming up, it was a great one to choose! It shows that you can create beautiful cards with just DSP.

I choose a piece with a snow scene and cut the main image out with the largest Stylish Shapes Square Die. I then used the timber DSP behind it as a small first layer and then the left side of the snow scene piece for the final layer.

I embossed a piece of Lost Lagoon with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder. This is such a pretty Embossing folder and adds so much texture to the finished card. The front section was placed on a Lost Lagoon base.

Inside I added the strip from the other side of the snow scene to a piece of Basic White Cardstock to make a border down the right hand side and tie the whole card together. There is a hint of a Wink of Stella on the ridge top of the two houses to reflect the sun coming up.

Although we do not experience snow at Christmas in Sydney, I think this is a card I could use to send to my overseas friends and it reminds of my childhood in Ireland.
