This stamp set is being offered online only and it would be easy to overlook it, if you are not an online shopper! However, you shouldn’t! It is a beautiful bundle ( and I love the WHOLE bundle!!!) It is called the ‘Seasons of Green and Gold’ suite. Today I will share three cards with you.
The first one uses diecuts of the Golden Greenery DSP. I used the dies to cut out the leaves from the this and the accompanying Vellum paper. I also used one of the stamps stamping the outline in Pecan Pie. This was then coloured in with Real Red and Bronze blends and then diecut it. ‘Merry Christmas’ is stamped in Real Red on Very Vanilla and cut using the oval shape.
To put the card together, I used an Old Olive base. I covered the front of the card with two contrasting DSP pieces. I then proceeded to add all the greenery like a bouquet on the front. When I was happy with the layout, I just glued some down and placed the others on dimensionals. I added a couple of pieces of pine, cut out in Garden Green to this arrangement as well. Wink of Stella was used to add highlights.
Merry Christmas was added to this and some of the Cherry Cobbler and Pearl adhesive backed berries. I love this card!
The second card I made was inspired by Sue Campfield. It is called a Gloden Greenery Flip card and although it looks complicated, it is actually very easy to make. The base is very Vanilla. I then added two strips of DSP onto this. The front of the card is a full length strip of Very Vanilla, scored and placed on the card. I then added a piece of Very Vanilla that I embossed with Dashing designs.
To this I added a page in Very Vanilla and stamped in Old Olive with ‘Love and Joy’. I added some diecut Mistletoe stamped on Very Vanilla with old Olive. This was added with dimensionals. I added a faux bow to the top of the card in Very Vanilla satin ribbon (also in the suite!) and finished it off with with berries and a faux glass dot.
Inside I stamped a sentiment from Hope and Peace. This is a very elegant card and I cannot wait to make some more.
For my final card I used Basic White and then decided to make one with Very Vanilla. I would really like you to tell me which one you prefer. I don’t know!!!
I stamped some of the greenery at the bottom of the front piece in varying strengths of Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Old Olive and Pecan Pie. This was then run through the embossing machine using the Exposed Brick Embossing folder. I added a little bit of DSP and added some gold twine to it tying a bow. A little hint!! – do this before you add this layer to the Garden Green layer. That way, if your bow seems upside down, you can take the cord off and turn it around!!!
The sentiment was placed on the Stamperatus as I was able to stamp all the words at once. I used Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder heated to set, and then cut it out freehand. It was added to the top right of the card on dimensionals.
I found some gold pearls from last year’s catalogue, as I had many of these left, and added them to the card. Inside I stamped off a pine branch in Old Olive and added it to the bottom left of the card. I do like this card too!!! Another one to make for Christmas.
Hope you enjoyed reading about these, and don’t forget you can watch the video on my Youtube channel and I’d love it, if you would like to subscribe to my channel!!
