This card was something of an experiment. I had an idea in my head and over time, I will refine the idea a little more!
I stamped a piece of Basic White around the edge with the Back to Blooms stamp set. I used severals colours – Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride. The idea was to cut a window from the centre so the flowers were like a border.
I then cut out the centre with the Oval Layers dies and used the centre piece on the lower piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock. I stamped a sentiment from Oval Occasions which fits beautifully on these Oval shapes.
The top layer is raised on foam strips and before placing it down I added a piece of Golden Garden acetate from the Art Gallery Suite. Next time I think I would add a piece of clear acetate as the pattern obscures the sentiment a little.
The whole card is placed on a base of Thick Basic White card stock and I added some retired sequins from the poppies to make it a shaker card and some to embellish the front layer. You could use either Whale of a Time sequins or the Sequins for Everything too!
