This month for our blog hop we were invited to use the following colour palate – Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.
I decided to do a kid’s birthday card and I guess it could be used for an adult as well. I used the blending brushes on Basic White cardstock to make a background of sky, sun going down or coming up, grass and a pond.
I had an idea of using the Beauty of Friendship tree on it as a silhouette. I stamped this in Memento Black. I then wanted to add some fun to the card so I used the cute little turtle stamp from the Turtle Friends stamp set, again stamped in Memento Black, and coloured in with blends.
I also stamped some grass in Pear Pizzazz from the the same set as well as Happy birthday in Balmy Blue. This was then layered on Calpyso Coral cardstock and placed on a base of Basic White thick cardstock.
I am sure one of my piano students will love this card.
