Week 3 of Twelve Weeks of Christmas projects
This week I am going to show you how you can make your own tags and use them for different occasions. With Christmas coming up, it is a good idea to prepare some tags ahead of time and then they are ready to pop on parcels when the time comes. They also make a lovely gift for someone. You could make several and put them in a little box as a gift.
The Tailored Made Tags dies come in 8 different sizes and are very versatile. I have used them on cards just as a plain tag to dress them up.
Here are some examples. I often keep extra cutouts that I have done for other projects and this a great way to use these items up. I had severals diecuts from Forever Flourishing and the Forever Fern stamp set and I have used these to dress up a plain white tag.
On another I have stamped Noel and some holly from the Holly Days stamp set and coloured them in with blends. On another I used diecuts from the Gingerbread suite. I also used Santa from the Be Jolly stamp set and fussy cut him out and places him on a tag.
Another simple way to create tags is to use DSP (Designer Series Paper) and cut out tags in it and then cut them up and put part of the cut one on to another tag or even use the DSP on its own. You could even combine this with a plain coloured cardstock that tones in to make a double tag.
The last example I have is using the You’re a Peach DSP and some diecuts. This one was cased from Pinterest and the tags were made by Berdien Weideveld.
I hope you are inspired by these ideas and go on to use them for your own creations. How beautiful would your gifts look with your own handmade tags!!!
