Treats for the Christmas Table

Week 9 of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas Projects

Welcome to Week 9 of the Twelve weeks of Christmas. Today I want to show you how to many very easy treat boxes for your Christmas table of party.

I have used the Pretty Pillow Box Dies for this project. You can make a number of these in a short space of time!! There are 11 dies in the set. The main large one makes the pillow box and the others add embellishments or tags to your project. You can use whatever Designer Series Paper you like for this project. You only need a 6 X 6 inch square to cut out the pillow box and you will have a strip left over..

You can add layers or leave it as is and use pretty ribbon to dress it up. On the grey and silver box with a cut out pattern on the flap I added a little bit of silver foil behind the fold over flap and that shows through the cut out area. I used some beautiful metallic mesh ribbon to wrap around the box and the little tag with a cutout snowflake/flower glued on it to identify the recipient.

On another one I just used silver foil and Evening Evergreen ribbon to keep it closed. I added a tag from the Be Jolly stamp set that I coloured with blends.

Another box was made using Peaceful Deer DSP and punched out a deer using the Deer Builder punch to add as an embellishment. This box was just kept closed with a dimensional.

The other one used a little bit of silver glitter cardstock left over from last year behind the front flap and some left over glitter ribbon.

The good thing about these is that you can use whatever ribbon you have in hand. You can add chocolates or something small inside the box for each recipient.
