I do love this suite from the Annual Catalogue – probably my favourite from it!! I love the DSP AND the stamp set and dies. I wanted to try something different with scraps of DSP, so I came up with these three cards.
My first one uses the DSP and silhouette made by one of the dies. It really is a card simple enough for a beginner to do. The base of the card front has been embossed with Exposed Brick and then the layers placed on the card. I stepped it up fractionally by adding a matt to the DSP.
My second card is also great for those who are beginners. It uses a piece of DSP on a matt. In colour Jute trim is wrapped around the front of the card before placing it on the base. I used Cajun Craze and Basic White for this one and added some In Colour Opaque sparkle dots to the front. I added a little piece of DSP to the inside of the card.
The third card uses the Torn DSP technique. This was a scrap of the DSP that was left over and I tore it and placed it on some torn Misty Moonlight cardstock before placing it on a Basic White layer that I had stamped with the sentiment and flower (thistle). This was all placed on a Night of Navy base. Inside I added another stamp from the set. I then added some Glossy Dots to the front Basic White part. Again this is a card simple enough for someone with little experience in card-making.
Hope you like these quick and easy cards.
