Last week I had the privilege to go to Brisbane for Stampin’ Up’s OnStage convention. What fun we had watching presentations, making new friends, laughing, creating and attending workshops. The cyclone did not affect us at all as it had well and truly passed by when we got there.
One of the presentations on stage was two staff from USA who took on ‘Mission Possible’ – making cards with Memories and More packs and ephemera. They had to make five cards each in ten minutes I think. I thought ‘What a great idea for my next ‘Timeout Tuesday’!
I have had the Mixed Florals Memories and More pack sitting there begging to be used as well as the ‘Washes and Tags’ , and ‘Greetings for all’ Ephemera packs. My challenge- to create some cards from these that were unique and easy to make.
I made some simple tags from Washes and Tags, and then created some cards using, ribbon, ephemera, embellishments and twine. I mainly used Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Boho Blue and Basic Black with White card bases. I also used two embossing folders – Exposed Brick (a big favourite of mine) and a new one called Mini Corrugated embossing folder. I didn’t have any Calypso Coral embellishments, so I created my own using white matt dots covered with a Dark Calypso Coral blend. I added some Wink of Stella on some of the embellishments.
This was a great challenge for me and I’d love to see what you can create with these ephemera packs. Sometimes they come in the DSP pack and we don’t use them. Join me in the challenge to create more cards and projects!!!!
