For my Timeout Tuesday this week, I created some cards with ‘Beautiful Butterflies’. I had not yet used this stamp set. It’s on Page 39 of the January- April catalogue. There also is ‘Sketched Butterflies’ on Page 68 of the Annual Catalogue. Both these stamp sets are current until the end of April and are quite different.
All the cards I did this week are CASED from Pinterest, but I have changed them slightly to add my own character to them.

The first card is on Basic White inspired by Bonnie Klass. I used Circles to diecut a ring in Gold foil and used a free product that we had during Sale-a-bration called Bloom Impressions for the diecut butterfly. I stamped and embossed in gold one the the Elements of Text stamps on Basic White cardstock and ran this through my machine with the Exposed Brick Embossing folder. I then added the gold circle on top and then the butterfly. I used glue dots for the butterfly so its wings were free. I then stamped Happy birthday from the Butterfly set and diecut it. A simple, but effective card.

The second card was inspired by Wanda Pettjohn. I have still lots of one of my favourite DSP’s ‘Thoughtful Journey’. I am excited as this is carrying over into the new catalogue too!! I have random pieces left over, so an excuse to use them. I cut out a rectangle with Stitched Rectangles (retired) from Basic White and then embossed it with Exposed Brick. I added a piece of Fresh Freesia Crinkled ribbon to this and placed the DSP behind this and added it to a Basic White base. I diecut small butterflies in Basic White and added some Ink of Stella to them, then added them with glue dots to the card and added some Tinsel gems. I love the simplicity of this card too. The sentiment is from Wonderful Thoughts.
My final card, inspired by Charlet Mallet, uses the hybrid Beautiful Butterflies embossing folder to emboss some Bubble Bath cardstock. I then cut two butterflies out – one with vellum and one with In Colour 24-26 Glimmer DSP. I added these to the top of the large embossed butterfly. This was added to Petunia Pop cardstock and Hello was stamped in Memento Black on Bubble Bath. I also used the tinsel gems as well. I added Bubble Bath ink to the dots on the embossing folder and highlighted them with Wink of Stella.

I intend to use this set again next week in my podcast.
